Construction Site at South
Monroe Township Library
Monroe, New Jersey

Originally built in 1996, this 20,000 s.f. library is being expanded to 40,000 s.f. to reflect the fast-growing community. The existing structure is shown as the darker shaded volume in the model study pictured. The design permits the original features of the building to remain strong, while creating unique forms expressing the interior functions. Exterior reading areas and gardens are planned into the design to connect the natural surroundings to the library interior.
